BMW Suspension Kit Parts

BMW has always been known to put their importance on quality and inventive designs first on the list throughout their elongated past. BMW holds a place as one of the German big three for auto leaders along side Audi and Mercedes. They also showcase the three top selling luxury vehicles around the planet. Their reputation is a known for high standards for and is shown in all of their products, as well, particularly their suspension kit parts and components. Issues with your BMW's suspension commonly highlight symptoms like unusual popping, clunking or squeaking; irregular tire wear patterns; steering wheel pull and front end shimmy, which is a side-to-side shaking of your BMW’s front wheels. Each of the following sections below will explain where such issues can happen and how these issues can be diagnosed. If your BMW's height seems low and it looks to be settling toward the axles, have your suspension springs inspected. Older and more tired springs can change the curb height of your BMW, as well as bring on misalignment in your wheels. This can affect your driving performance, as well. A local garage can easily replace worn springs. If you have questions about BMW’s suspension parts or components, the FCP Euro team and website have all of the information you could need.

Your BMW’s suspension system consists of rubber bushings at the inner ends of the control arms. These keep the steering knuckle, bearing support or axle housing secure while your wheel moves up and down. The bushings cushion the control arms as they are working and when the bushings are worn, steering issues and unusual tire wear can be brought on. One test for worn bushings is to try to push the control arm against its normal movement pattern. If the control arm moves with respect to its shaft, the bushings are worn out and should be replaced. If your BMW makes unfamiliar clunks or pops when turning or when going over a bump, this may point to a worn ball joint. This can be brought on if it is not lubricated correctly or has been in use for a long time. Two ways to tell if a ball joint is worn include inspecting the wear indicator or measuring the amount of play in the joint. Worn ball joints should be replaced. If your BMW is riding poorly on rougher roads, the issue is usually attributable to worn shock absorbers. When troubleshooting for this issue, push down a corner of your BMW and count how many bounces occur when it is released. Good shocks will only bounce two or three times. Worn shock absorbers should be replaced. FCP Euro's scholastic and accomplished call center team is on hand and able to answer any questions you have.
