Product Information

Replace each component of your BMW's ignition system, features OE Delphi ignition coils and OE Bosch ZGR6STE2 spark plugs

Spark plugs wear out over the course of countless ignition cycles, during which deposits from fuel and oil may accumulate on the electrode. Faulty spark plugs can lead to poor engine performance, evidenced by reduced power, a misfire, and poor fuel economy.

Ignition coils provide the energy required for the spark plug to ignite the fuel mixtures. Over countless of thousands of ignition cycles the ignition coils will wear out. We typically see ignition coil boots wear out causing poor insulation between the spark plug and coil.

We highly recommend also ordering a 14mm 12 point spark plug socket unless you otherwise own one. We recommend ordering CTA-2376.

Ignition Tune-Up Kit

An ignition tune-up kit includes all the parts you need to service your vehicle's ignition system. Components like spark plugs, ignition coils, spark plug connectors, and spark plug wires will eventually require replacement.

When these components are used past their useable service life you will often experience a vehicle that does not run smoothly, suffers from misfires, or even completely dead cylinders due to no spark. Replacing ignition components should be done on a regular interval

About Eldor

Eldor Corporation was founded by Pasquale Forte in a garage in the small centre of Orsenigo, in Brianza area, not far from the lakes in Northern Italy. The company was specialized in consumer electronics, developing high tension transformers for radio and television sets. In the late 1980s, Eldor opened up to the world: it started to export products and opened sales branches in USA, Hong Kong and UK. In 1991, taking another bold step for the time, especially for a medium-sized company, Eldor set up its first international operations, opening a factory in Turkey, and introduced the same automated production lines that had proved to be so successful in Italy.

Ignition systems production gradually took off, and Eldor devoted itself to innovative work on electronic control units. With its first product, using patented technology for analysing ionising current, Eldor gained the “Ferrari Technology Award” as Ferrari’s best technological partner. Eldor joined a number of European research projects and, in 2009, was the first European company in the motor vehicle sector to put a full-hybrid scooter on the road. In 2009, Eldor won the “Volkswagen Group Award”, the first Italian company in Italy to receive an award from Volkswagen for the quality of its products.

Note: Eldor coils do not come in Eldor branded packaging as Eldor does not have an aftermarket sales division.

ignition coils and spark plugs
received all items but one spark plug was not the same as the one i had ordered. set me back another week :( . emailed them and they are getting back to me an trying to help which is appreciated.

No, this kit will not fit a 2008 323i. You need p/n 12138647689KT2 or p/n 12138616153KT3. Our website does not list 323i as vehicle fitment as it's not a vehicle available in the United States but the same parts are shared with the 328i.

Bosch and Delphi coils work interchangeably. Delphi generally has a better track record on N54 applications when it comes to stock style ignition coils.

What is the part numbers and prices for a torque wrench and a plug socket to install this BMW Ignition Service Kit - 12138616153KT1, if available at FCP EURO store?

The spark plug socket is linked in the description, CTA-2376, which is the specific thin wall 14mm 12 point spark plug socket that is needed to remove and install the included spark plugs. A suitable torque wrench for 23Nm recommended torque is p/n GRW-85061 which measures in lbs and nm torque ranges.

This is a multi-electrode spark plug and should not be gapped differently than how it comes out of the box. The spark plug that you need NGK 97968 which can be gapped and is one step colder than these OE plugs. We do not set spark plug gaps for customers.

There is no service interval for injectors. Spark plug change interval will vary depending on whether the car is stock or tuned. Stock cars can easily go 60K miles while some tuned vehicles need plugs changed as often as 10K miles.
