Braket Kit E39 - Perfect Fit
This kit made the brake refresh on my E39 very smooth and it included everything I needed to complete a full rotor/pad refresh, except for the 4 rotor locking bolts that I ordered separately.

Perfect Kit, Highly Rec!
Ordered the kit, It came super fast, every fit absolutely perfect from the pads, to the rotors to the sensors. Top Notch, was hesitant buying a kit online but extremely pleased. I and my family will be buying all items for our vehicles from this site from now on.

Full Brake Pad/Rotor Overhaul
I purchased this kit for my 2001 540i m-sport and recommend anyone who is looking into these to purchase them as well. After doing much research folks complained of higher amounts the brake dust on the wheels, I am someone who is constantly on top of the cleanliness of her cars and I can say I personally did not notice much of a difference in brake dust, if anything probably less. The brakes stop great even after a little speeding on the back roads. Sensors gave me no issues whats so ever. Again I recommend this kit to anyone and everyone changing the brakes on their e39.

Stop reading this and buy brakes.
Brake kit is great. Everything fit like a glove. Braking performance is eh. I also bought the Zimmerman rotors and Akebono pads for my X5 and that stops great. So maybe it was my corroded front calipers. (I should prob replace those too but $$$.) kit is great. Brakes do stop, just not as quickly as I’d like my 540i to.

Are the top hats of the Brembo rotors coated with some sort of rust protection?

Yes, these rotors use Brembo's UV coating which is a painted on metallic coating for the non braking surfaces.
