Let's face it, brakes pads hands down are the most important components of our vehicle. Our brake pads allow us to stop our vehicles with a simple push of a brake pedal. Unfortunately they don't last forever and are considered to be a major wear item which must be replaced before they completely wear out and damage the brake rotor costing you more in repairs. Brake pads can be made of several materials such as a semi-metallic compound, ceramic compound, or organic. Brake pads are suggested to be checked frequently during oil changes or routine services for wear to ensure you have at least the minimum pad thickness as stated by the car manufacturer.

Akebono Rear Brake Pad Set
Great brake pads for my E39. Stops great and has low brake dust. Squealing is minimal to non-existent.

Good Grip and Low Dust
Installed these with new rotors on the rear of my E39 540i, and have been impressed. They grip well and produce very little dust. Installation was a snap, and they fit as they should.

Boiii let me tell you, these are freaking amazing ! All the reviews were correct. I changed my genuine dusty pads to ECS Tuning pads and they were squeaking and looking for a good paid that doesn't make sound and doesn't look like it went to hell after 2 days from a wash. Just did some research and came across those from FCP Europe and my wheels are dust free. really happy. good product and quality.

These akebono brake pads have worked out great, low dust, very little cleaning and no squeaks.

No dust, squeals or rattles!
Paired with Meyle rotors and I'm happy with this setup on my 2003 525i after 34K miles (rear pads are wearing a bit quicker than front). Prior pads (unknown mfr) didn't dust but the squeals and rattles went away.

Akebono Euro Ceramic Brake Pads
Same review written for front pads: Akebono euro ceramic brake pads are the solution for the dreaded e39 rear brake pad rattle. I just removed a newer set of Hawk HPS pads because they rattled whenever i hit bumps. These pads stop better and dont make a sound. It appears that the metal prongs that secure the pad in the brake cylinder are much more robust than on other pads.

No dust, No squeals, No problems!
FYI: POSTED SAME REVIEW ON Akebono FRONT PADS... Unknown prior brand brakes installed by PO. I was cleaning my wheels every week and getting really tired of it, but they gripped hard. I switched to Akebono mainly to cut down the dust, but still wanted good performance. At the same time, I switched to Zimmerman rotors too. With over 750 miles now on them, I have not cleaned my wheels ONCE! Amazing difference. Like others have reported, the new pads seemed softer on grip, however, at about the 500 mile mark they started grabbing better and better. At this point I don't feel much, if any, difference between old and new pads. I am extremely satisfied with no noise what so ever, no dust, and very good street performance.

Great fit. Quiet even when hard braking. Produce very little brake dust compared to BMW pads. Great pads overall.

I assume you are referring to the securing clips that secure the inner brake pads to the brake caliper piston. If so, these brake pads come with them.
