This is a major step up from the AL329 With this AL629 scanner you are able to plug into most systems you will deal with on the enthusiast level. Engine, Transmission, ABS, and SRS(airbag) systems. This tool will allow you to jump in see the faults and erase them quickly. It will also give you the ability to view some parameters of how some sensors work to help isolate problems. Ex. (live feeds of data with engine on) With updates available a few time a year from AUTEL you will always stay on top of the latest protocols and tests that are available.

If you have a E9X and newer BMW you can perform a battery registration on your own, If doing rear brakes on a late model Volvo or Audi you can open and close as well as reset electronic parking brakes. If you end up taking the steering wheel off or replace a clock spring/steering angle sensor with this scanner you will be able to re-calibrate it. And if you have a Diesel car with a DPF system ...
