AutoLink AL329, with its patented One-Click I/M Readiness Key, enables user to check State Emission Monitor Status and verify repairs. Read and Erase codes on Domestic, Asian and European vehicles, 1996 and newer.

This is the least expensive scanner we currently offer and it is a great tool to quickly read faults and erase them. Keep one in each car. Whether you're a seasoned tech or someone that is just starting their affair with cars this tool will come in handy. It is simple and easy to use and very small so it can live in any glove box.

OBDII Scan Tool
Great product! I use it all the time on my family's Volvos (20003 V70 & 2007 XC70). For those wondering, the audible beeping mentioned in previous reviews can be turned off in the settings menu on the scanner. I wish I went for the slightly more expensive model to get more functionality but overall very helpful product to have around, thanks FCP!

Great Tool
So far so good with an E46. Reads/clears codes and has some live data options. Will also read VIN information, emissions readiness indicators, pending codes, and PIDs. Screen is clear and easy to read. Backlight is a good idea and I'm happy they included it. Got tired of going to the autoparts store to have them read my codes. For the price, this tool is worth the time savings. The beeping noise the buttons make is annoying, but easy to over look.

This can only read the stored fault codes and yes, it will work for your 1999 BMW.

This can read and clear generic DTC's, but you are correct that in most cases you will require the use of VIDA DICE to have the control you are most likely looking for over your S60.

This unit will only work with 1996 and up 16 pin OBD II compliant vehicles.

No. This scan tool retrieves generic (P0, P2, P3 and U0) fault codes which are engine specific faults. You would need a more advanced scan tool to read or clear immobilizer faults such as the Autel MD808P. However, note that clearing immobilizer faults may not allow the vehicle to start. The immobilizer will need to display as inactive with a key in the ignition. If the immobilizer remains active with a key in the ignition you may have an issue with the key sync.

No. This is a basic hand held OB2 scanner that can read/clear codes. It cannot perform any special service functions. You would need a tool like Autel's MD808P in order to perform a parking brake retraction/relearn.
