No, this tool does not perform a battery registration. THre MD808P is the next tool up from this which supports battery registration and other service functions.

No, this will not perform a battery registration, you will need MD808 and other more advanced tools to do so.

Can you help me find the transmission temp reading for a 2017 VW Alltrack with DSG using this tool. I was told it could read the transmission temp for the DSG service (see https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/enhanced-diagnostic-scan-tool-autel-al529#qa) so purchased it with the DSG kit (order R477860506). I think it should be TFT in "live data" but I can't find it - I see engine coolant temp, intake air temp, ambient air temp, catalytic temp, etc. but TFT isn't there.

This data should be given under the transmission menu within the scan tool, usually under live data.

The "Product Description" says that this device will clear SRS error codes. The "Question and Answer" strings says that this device will "pull" SRS error codes. I replaced the DIM in my 2002 Volvo V70 XC. Now I have an error message where my gas mileage should be: SRS-AIRBAG SERVICE URGENT Will this device clear that code? Do the included instructions explain how to clear that code?

The previous QA may not have been fully correct, this device will read and clear SRS codes on your Volvo. However, depending the specific fault you are experiencing, it may require a module programming or reset which would require a Volvo VIDA dealer-specific tool.

No. This scanner only reads body control module and OBD2 faults, live streams data PIDS, and clears fault codes. For coding injectors you would need the more advanced MX808 tool.

It can read OBD2 faults and clear check engine lights via the OBD2 port inside the vehicle. For ABS/advanced scanning functions this tool will need to be used in conjunction with a 20 pin adapter to plug into the port inside the engine bay. This tool does not offer service light reset functionality.
