The MD808P is one of the best value tools on the market currently. It just works well in virtually any modern car. Now if this is something you may not have a use for we offer a more stripped down version called the AUT-AL629. The AL629 is a generic scanner that does not have any of the additional features such as SAS, EPB, BMS or DPF. With updates available a few time a year from AUTEL you will always stay on top of the latest protocols and tests that are available.
However if you really want to do 98% of all your diagnostics we have one step above the MD808P and that is the Tablet MX808 This tool picks up where the MD808P left off and allows you diagnose or perform procedures such as :
- Electronic Brake Bleeding by activating pumps and solenoids on certain cars,
- Immobilizer and key and alignment problems

Don't know anything about this tool. But it retails directly at Autel for $230 and is currently on sale for $180 this summer (Aug 2026). Love FCP but this price is inflated.
Unfortunately, this did not work for my 2020 BMW X3 PHEV. I purchased it because a representative from Autel 's website chat advised me that it would at least perform basic functions for my 2020 model. After installing the update and registering the device, I discovered that my 2020 vehicle was not even listed as an option.
I contacted Autel’s U.S. department directly and was told that it does not support vehicles beyond 2018. I was unable to return it since the device had already been registered. Fortunately, we also have a 2014 vehicle that we can still use it with.
This thing is a breeze to use and couldn't have changed my brakes without it.
Got this to help with check engine and airbag codes, easy to use and clear messages. Highly recommend this diagnosis tool!
This easy to use device helped me determine what was triggering the check engine light on my car. It told me that the intake valve was malfunctioning, and upon looking in my engine, I saw that the valve lever was indeed broken. From there, I was able to find a replacement part. If I had sent in the car to a shop, they'd just replace the entire manifold and charge me $567 for the part and even more for the labor. Definitely recommend this tool, it's very easy to use for any car.
FCP Euro originally shipped me the incorrect scanner, but within 1 day of notifying them I received the correct one and an RMA and shipping label to return the incorrect scanner. This scanner has saved me thousands of dollar by diagnosing the real issues with my BMW X3s. For example the dealership suggested that the SAS was faulty but after scanning it was the transfer case actuator the was the issue. I also purchased the Odometer Gears gear for the transfer case actuator and replaced it and cleared all codes and good to go. I really like the live data feature of the unit - testing the LWS (SAS) - I was able to see continuous steering angle sensing.

I know this will work on a 2011 Audi and 2015 Audi for EPB but I seen someone’s review saying it doesn’t support vehicles newer than 2018 is that true? He was told directly from Autel’s department.

The MD808P does support EPB service functions, and it may work on your 2011 and 2015 Audi, but I would not promise EPB coverage for Audi models newer than 2018 without checking the exact year/model/VIN in Autel’s coverage tool first. Autel lists the MD808P as having parking brake pad relearn/EPB service, but coverage is vehicle-specific and newer Audi models may have limited support or security/module access restrictions.
For the safest answer, please check the exact Audi year/model in Autel’s official vehicle coverage checker or email service@fcpeuro.com with the vehicle details before ordering. If your main need is newer Audi EPB service, a newer Autel model may be a better choice.

Have a 2022 BMW 430i convertible. Does this product allow me to enter BMW workshop mode/service mode so I can turn on/off Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) to service rear brakes?

This unit does handle EPB systems and should have no problem with your 430i. For information on specific model compatibility you would have to directly contact Autel, but I see nothing indicating this will not work for any modern BMW model.

I just viewed a YouTube video of yours where this tester was displayed as a good tool for the 2007 E350 air suspension troubleshooting. I stored the car for a year and it lowered during that time. Worked fine up till storage. My mechanic says his SnapOn tester can turn on the compressor and we can see if the compressor has gone bad or if it’s working we can look for leaks. Will your diagnostic tool allow me to turn on the compressor? Or is this tool only going to read fault codes?

This unit allows for bidirectional communication. You can cycle the compressor and also fill individual corners if you need further troubleshooting.
