  • You'll need 2x O-Ring p/n 9183708 which is used to seal the fuel pump and drivers side sending unit.
  • In order to prevent possible damage to adjacent wiring, fuel hoses, check valves, and to properly tighten the fuel pump lock ring, special tool 2493 is required. Without using the tool, you risk damaging your fuel system or creating evap leaks.

Fuel Pump Module Assembly

A fuel pump module assembly is a complete unit, typically located inside the fuel tank, that delivers pressurized fuel to the engine. Unlike a standalone fuel pump, the module will sometimes include:

  • Electric fuel pump – draws and pressurizes fuel.
  • Fuel filter/strainer – removes debris and contaminants.
  • Fuel pressure regulator – maintains consistent fuel pressure.
  • Fuel level sending unit – communicates fuel level to the gauge.

  • Supplies pressurized fuel to the injectors for combustion.

this is a single pump with 5 pin connector. pump needed is dual pump with 7 pin connector.

Great pump
Use diligence , remove fuel sensor carefully, loosen before putting in opening, insert sensor halfway, fully pull up level sensor, slide to side, fully insert pump, reinsert level sensor, fully insert pump. Be patient. BE SHURE to wrap wire or something to other level sensor opening, to be able to feed wire assembly back to the other opening, tank has channels for wire that are not directly across from each other. If you omit this,.... putting it back in is a real pain.

fitment
my old original pump had 175k on it so buying another original unit was a no brainer! i wasn't going with a off brand from any where else ! job isnt very hard but your back and knees will be letting you know the next day as its a small space to work if. Taking your time its about a 2 hr job . now it says im getting 23/24 per gallon again not like the 17-19 with the old one.

Simply the best
When my fuel pump failed, I wouldn't even consider another brand. The Bosch fuel pump is the best, and FCP sells it for far less than everybody else.

Solved my gas leak
I was struck by the cracking top plastic of the fuel pump that these models commonly have. This was a perfect fit for replacement. Make sure you’re low on gas when you do the replacement; you’ll make much less mess than I did.

Bosch Fuel Pump for Volvo

There are 5 different possible fuel pumps for your vehicle and two possible o-rings, please send your VIN to customer service for verification on both those parts. The pump and O-ring are available separately.

You'll need 2x O-Ring p/n 9183708 which is used to seal the fuel pump and drivers side sending unit. You may also be interested in the Special Tool which is needed to remove the locking collar on both the pump and the sending unit.

The genuine pump in my 04 s60r has two separate pumps. One to pull fuel from the left side of the tank into the assembly and one to pressurize the fuel rail. This pump only has one pump. Is this compatible with s60r's?

Depending on the last 6 digits of your VIN you'll need 1 of two pumps: 315000-424999 will require p/n 30761744 425000- and up will require p/n 30761745

The Fuel Pump O-ring needs to be purchased separately. For Plastic Fuel Tanks the part number is p/n 9183708 For Metal Tanks the part number is p/n 8634839 You'll need two of whichever seal you need depending on your fuel tank.
