This pump does not come with the lock ring o-ring. The job requires removal of the pump and sending unit. This is a good time to replace the o-rings on both lock rings. Also, you will need to buy the lock ring removal tool. The job cannot be done without the lock ring tool. Pay attention to the indexing marks on the old unit and on the fuel tank to make sure the tank works correctly.

My problem was car would stall when fuel level dropped to less than 1/4 tank. My instinct was that it was fuel pump related but because it ran perfectly well when above that level, I delayed replacing it. After doing some research and figuring out the very complicated arrangement with the fuel tank and the pickup arrangements, I went ahead and got this unit which was a perfect fit. Made my own retaining ring from 4" ABS pipe and it worked perfectly. Completed the job in about an hour.

Fuel pump fits perfect.
FYI I could never figure out the thumping noise in the rear of car. Turns out the fuel pump brackets were broken causing it to move about when slowing down it must slide forward with fuel wave. It was Volvo pump from recall and dealer installed. Glad FCP had pump to make this swap easy

I did a redneck epoxy fix on the notorious fuel pump crack, It held about a month. Buying the pump here and the wrench to replace it saved me a bundle of having the dealer do it. It takes 1-2 hours. Remember to unhook the negative battery cable

Perfect replacement for an 04 V70 T5, also holds the Aeromotive 320LPH stealth pump perfectly.

The pump replaced my volvo XC90 pump. The volvo factory pump IS the Bosch pump,just stamped with Bosch not Volvo. The ABS plastic is stronger now, as the volvo pump plastic cracked and leaked. Volvo US recalled them for changeout. Super-happy with the price. Awesome guys, keep up the good work!
