Product Information

Direct injection engines offer numerous advantages over port injection engines. The main advantage is better atomization of fuel entering the combustion chamber. Direct injection also requires a significantly higher pressure to atomize the fuel properly which can cause components of the fuel system to fail over time. Clogged fuel injectors can cause a variety of performance issues including misfire and power loss.

N54 fuel injectors have an index number which is critical to take note of when it's time to replace a failed fuel injector. The index number dictates on whether fuel injectors can be mixed or not. The fuel injectors in this kit are the most recent version of what's available and can only be installed with other fuel injectors that have an index number of 11 or higher. If the injectors are 10 or lower all fuel injectors will need to be replaced to ensure proper fuel system and engine performance.

Note: When installing new injectors a calibration must be carried out. The adjustment value must be read off the injector before installation and noted. This adjustment value will be needed later on when the calibration is carried out. The injector has a protective cap on the tip of the injector which keeps the tip clean from contaminants and keeps the viton seal compressed. Leave this cap in place just before installation as the seal will expand making installation impossible without the special dies to compress the seal.

N54 Fuel injectors
N54 fuel injectors index 12. Need I say more? Old ones were leaking and diluting my oil and causing issues. New ones were perfect and FCP euro delivered them quickly.

Remanufactured?
While im sure they are fine. Car is still undergoing some repairs. however paying full price for what seem to be remanufactured injectors with carbon depostis on them. I wasnt too happy about this. Please update description if they are as such. otherwise never had an issue with fcp euro/

Index 12 injectors replacement kit
These delivered on time and were well packaged to help ensure no damage during shipping. They were easy to install (and old injectors were easy to remove as i also ordered the N54 injector removal kit) and have the BMW N54 running smooth! thanks FCP!

Great Product - Suspect Price
These work great & you can't beat FCP lifetime warranty for something like fuel injectors. Completely solved fueling issues & misfires in a 335i. That said these more than doubled in price up by almost $1,500 in 6 months. Supply chain issues + demand of many N54's with bad injectors I'm sure, but still someone is price gouging. Highly doubt it's FCP's fault but still painful & frustrating for N54 owners. I still need another set for my 135i but will probably wait a bit. Hopefully price cools off so I don't have to mortgage my house.

New Index 12 Fuel Injectors
I'm very happy with the performance of these new index 12 fuel injectors. They are still cheaper from FCP than from BMW, but still have gone up a lot in the past year and are very expensive (hence my 4 star review instead of 5). I suppose it's difficult to keep the price down now though, considering BMW's injector situation I've been hearing about. But now my car runs like it did when I bought it, or better. In it were the original index 8 injectors. Some had started leaking and some sticking. The car boiled out white smoke sometimes upon start, and idled really rough and missed on several cylinders, and smelled faintly of fuel. It was during COVID and I wasn't in the best place financially, so I tried to save money by buying "refurbished" index 9 injectors on eBay. I don't recommend this! Big mistake and waste of time and money. They didn't work out either times I tried from two different sellers. But I crossed my fingers and went ahead and spent the money for brand new index 12 injectors from FCP, installed them, coded them with the Foxwell NT530 that I had bought, and my car hasn't miss a lick and runs very strong again. I am so relieved, and excited for the lifetime warranty! I'll be doing some more business with FCP for sure.

Fixed Misfires
It completely fixed my car's misfires and now runs even greater. My only complain is that how much the price went up throughout the years but it is better price compared to other competitors

Expensive But Worth It
Buying these injectors was not easy considering I could've purchased a Ball Bearing Precision Turbo for the same price maybe less. Anyhow, these being the most up to date version and with FCP Euros lifetime warranty it's a no brainer. I don't recommend buying the Remanufactured versions of these unless you want to gamble and try your luck. Overall they work great and are a must for N54 maintenance.

My fuel injector in cylinder 4 is broken. They are all below index 11, Would I have to replace all 6 or can I replace the injectors in just cylinders 4, 5 and 6

It is always recommended to replace all of the injectors, especially if one is broken. Coding is always required when installing new injectors. Each injector has a specified flow rate. It is critical to enter this number into the calibration table for proper injector performance.

Can I program the injectors with the Foxwell NT510 Multi System Scanner on a 2010 535i?

We don't have information as to what the Foxwell NT510 supports in terms of programming ability outside of a listing on Amazon which states "Supports adaptations and control module coding on selected cars". We're inclined to say it probably does not support injector coding on the DME but you can always plug the scan tool in first and see if you can gain access to the adaptation tables. Or contact Foxwell directly to see if the tool has the capability.

No, this injector kit will only work for N54 powered BMW's. 135i's with an N55 are 2011+ model years and require completely different injectors. However, before ordering injectors for an N55 engine you must determine whether you have EU4 or EU5 injectors. This has to be done using a scan tool such as ISATD.

The injector seals are already installed on the injector tip. There is a protective cap on the injector that keeps the seal compressed.

The injectors are ordered under p/n 13538616079. But the part number on the injector is correct.
