Product Information
Brake pad wear sensors are used to monitor the thickness of your vehicle's brake pad friction lining. When the minimum safe thickness is reached the pad wear sensor comes into contact with the brake rotor and opens the circuit which in turn triggers a warning on your instrument cluster notifying you that it is time to service your brakes. Whether or not the pad wear sensor has been triggered it is highly recommended to replace the pad wear sensor when replacing brake pads. They tend to become fragile with age and can easily break when removed from old brake pads causing false warnings after completing the service,
WARNING: Proposition 65 informationDisc Brake Pad Wear Sensors, or Brake Pad Sensor, as they're commonly called, are used as an instrument to alert the driver when the brake pads of the vehicle are at a low level and are in need of replacement. Operation of the sensor is simple where it is wired to the brake control module with 12v and when the brake pad becomes low enough, the sensor will ultimately surface and make contact with the rotor which in turn grounds the sensor and completes the circuit which triggers the light in your instrument cluster. The Brake Pad Wear Sensor is recommended to be replaced at the time of brake pad replacement.

Just like the title, good OEM replacement, no reason at all not to run this. Will be ordering this again for my next brake job.
There is no problem, everything is normal.
Exact fit and a fraction of the cost from a local auto parts store or BMW.
Simply works.
Stop worrying. Get one not two. You only need 1 for the rear and 1 for the front. Part numbers are different.
Quality replacement rear sensor. 2015 X5 . I use BOWA sensors from FCP as replacements in all of my BMW's.
Not overly impressed with this particular sensor. Brand new with brand Hawk HPS Blue pads, it reads 12,000 miles till worn out. I'm not sure why that is as the brand new front sensor read 37,000. I've reset it many times when it gets down to 5k miles remaining until worn out. It will reset but then mileage remaining goes down very quickly. It works, just not as well as it should.
