Product Information

Your ignition coils provide voltage to support the spark needed to trigger combustion. Common indicators that you may need to replace your ignition coil include engine misfire, poor performance, a flashing check engine light, and/or engine misfire codes stored in your engine's computer (ECU).

With age, just like most components, ignition coils can wear over time and for that reason, we recommend replacing ignition coils at least every 100k miles for peace of mind and optimal performance.

This kit comes with new Eldor OE ignition coils, NGK Laser Platinum spark plugs, and it also includes a tube of dielectric grease that protects electrical connections and wiring from moisture, dirt, and corrosion.

Ignition Kit

An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.

  • Engine misfires: The most prominent sign, causing the engine to jerk or shudder, especially when accelerating, due to inconsistent combustion in one or more cylinders

About Eldor

Eldor Corporation was founded by Pasquale Forte in a garage in the small centre of Orsenigo, in Brianza area, not far from the lakes in Northern Italy. The company was specialized in consumer electronics, developing high tension transformers for radio and television sets.
