Product Information

The high pressure fuel pump on the CKRA TDI diesel engine found in the 2012-2014 VW Passat is known to fail with time and wear which can result in metal fragments being distributed throughout the entire fuel system. When this happens, its best to replace all of the major components within the system to prevent further contamination and premature failure of the new high pressure fuel pump once its installed. This kit contains all of the necessary recommended components needed to remedy a failed pump. FCP Euro also recommend to clean the fuel tank, non-included fuel lines, and other miscleaneos components within the fuel system.

NOTE:

  • Running the high pressure fuel pump dry will destroy it
  • Be sure to perform a fuel system bleeding before running.
  • Since timing belt removal is necessary to replace the high-pressure fuel pump, we recommend replacing the belt with our all-inclusive Timing Belt Kit
  • FCP Euro Strongly suggests to remove, inspect, and clean the low pressure fuel tank as necessary to eliminate the possibility of metal particles that may have made its way back into the fuel tank. If metal is still in the fuel tank and it is not removed, this could result in damage to the newly installed components.

Will this kit come with instructions, torque specs, etc?

No installation manual or torque-specification sheet is listed as an included component with KIT-02847, so we would not expect those materials to be supplied with the kit. For the correct vehicle-specific repair procedure and torque values, please send the full VIN and this request to service@fcpeuro.com
