Product Information

This kit includes everything needed to fully complete the timing belt replacement on your CKRA TDI engine to include all of the major components and necessary one-time use hardware that must be replaced when performing this repair. This kit also includes a Geba water pump which features a metal impeller versus the original Genuine VW water pump which has a plastic water pump and is known to crack and break down over time due to constant thermal heating and cooling cycles. This kit contains many OE / OEM parts which makes it a better value when comparing to the cost of all Genuine VW components without sacrificing quality.

NOTE:

  • The drive belt tensioner is not included in this kit
  • In order to remove the drive belt, the charge air cooler needs to be removed
  • We recommend to inspect the drive belt tensioner for wear, and replace as necessary.

Good kit!
This kid has almost everything you'll need. Add in the 4x harmonic balancer bolt VAG-N91048804 . Add in the serpentine belt CON-6PK1070 and the tensioner INA-5340164100 too. This is for a CKRA Passat. If you have a different motor it could be different. I think this kit is only for CKRA, but I'm not sure.

Good kit
The kit was good and all components were of high quality. I did add the four bolts for the harmonic balancer. I gave it four out of five stars because it only had two water pump screws instead of three and had two studs for the lower idler instead of just one. Also note that the serpentine belt, cam bolts, and HPFP bolts are not included.

Not without it no, but all the items in the kit can be purchased individually if you wanted to omit the coolant and it wasn't necessary.
