Over four years of development and testing go into every one of TMD Friction’s OE products. Textar brake pads are manufactured using the same materials and components - such as back plates and a wide variety of noise-fix solutions - on the same production lines. Textar’s application-specific engineering and technical expertise provide brake pads that are extremely close to refit Original Equipment.

Textar brake pads are derived from 160 different formulations, some of these consisting of more than 20 different raw materials, and each one is carefully selected to meet the various requirements of a vehicle, its braking system, specific power, loads, and braking characteristics.

Since 2008 Zimmermann has been offering almost 400 Standard and almost 400 Sports Brake Discs in a coated version named Coat Z.

The Zimmermann Coat-Z brake disc provides a protective coating that prevents rust and corrosion, extends rotor life and improves visual appearance. To improve rust protection during storage and usage, Otto Zimmermann GmbH implements this new Coat-Z technology step by step in its production range. Besides the still optimum function of the brake disc, this coating ensures a consistent attractive appearance.

Zimmermann brake discs are usually made of cast iron (with flake graphite) of different qualities; they correspond to the material used for the original spare parts. Therefore, utilizing such materials (referred to as High Carbon by the competition) has always been a matter of course for Otto Zimmermann.
