This Transmission Service Kit for the 09G Transmission contains fresh new fluid, a new filter, oil pan gasket, and all of the needed hardware that is associated with the job to ensure a proper and complete repair.

Transmission Service Kit

The transmission oil filter prevents harmful particulate matter from entering the transmission valve body and damaging valve body bores, solenoids, and other fluid passages. Foreign particles in valve body bores, solenoids, or passages will cause shifting issues. Some of these issues include delayed shifts, harsh shifts, or no gear engagement in extreme cases. Clogged filters can reduce fluid volume and flow in the transmission causing starvation of the transmission pump. This can be identified by an RPM-dependent whine from the transmission bell housing area. The transmission oil filter should be changed during any fluid service, and it is critical to replace the filter if major transmission components are replaced such as the torque converter, transmission pump, or transmission valve body.

Great kit - would buy again
This kit had all the parts needed to change the transmission fluid on my 2017 VW Jetta S with the QPA transmission code. One tip: be sure to recover the old o-ring when removing the filter. I almost missed this. I needed 4 quarts. I put in 5 which allowed me to flush out some additional old fluid when getting up to temperature, cycle through the gears and then wait for the fluid draining to slow to a slight trickle.
