Fits and works properly. If I ever do this job again I will either rent or buy the upper shock nut tool - Volvo number 9995500. As it was I used a hacksaw blade to remove part of the plastic skirt on the OLD shocks so that I could use a Vise Grip on the shaft to stop it from turning, then used an impact and socket to reach down from above to the top nut. Then for installation of the new units, since the Vise Grip trick was out of the question, I ran the lock nut on and off a few times in the bench to loosen it up a bit before using the impact to tighten it up.

Can this fit my vehicle which is on Nivomats now? I want to change the Nivomats and use the non Nivomat shocks. Also will the springs needs to be changed? If springs need to be changed, can this shock absorber go with Volvo Coil Spring - Lesjofors 30645929?

You state that this part needs a plate marked 25 or 58, but you also cross reference to Volvo OEM 31329767 which is for plate marked 65. Will this fit an XC90 with a plate marked 65?

Yes, Sachs typically assigns multiple OE's to a shock as time goes on and vehicles age. This is normal, many times the differences in shocks from the factory are so close that it's impossible to tell in a practical sense, so using their in-house specifications and performance guides they can condense some OEs into one shock to reduce costs while still providing a top quality product.
