Ceramic brake pads The friction compound used in this brake pad set is Ceramic. The main benefit of using a ceramic pad compound is that it produces less brake dust compared to a semi-metallic pad without sacrificing overall braking power. Great kit, great fit.
This is my first time doing brakes on my 08 XC90 V8. This kit made the job very simple for me. 1 month after install and have had no issues. the ceramic pads are perfect for my daily drive (80% city, 20% highway) and stop the car smoothly and quietly. I've been told that ceramic pads produce significantly less dust than traditional metallic pads, but my rims are black so I cannot verify that. I would recommend these!
