Ceramic brake pads
The friction compound used in this brake pad set is Ceramic. The main benefit of using a ceramic pad compound is that it produces less brake dust compared to a semi-metallic pad without sacrificing overall braking power. These pads will have less initial bite than a semi-metallic compound, but produce significantly less dust and have better temperature fade resistance in performance driving situations.

They seem to work and wear fine
I did a full review of both the front and back akebono pads sets the back set is EUR980/ 307093
Ceramic rear brake pads are a perfect fit on 2010 Volvo XC90. I used orange anti-squeal liquid adhesive between pads and caliper, as there is no adhesive backing on this set. Brakes work perfectly with no noise or squeal against Zimmermann coated rotors during 20 mile initial test drive. Thanks!
These brake pads are among the best street pads I've ever had. They don't squeal, have a good feel, and they stop the car smoothly. I'm all in on Akebono pads for all my cars from now on.
looking forward to less dust, good fit, no left or right ... I did not find any markings to identify position of pads on the pads themselves. Haven't had any troubles and they are very quiet.
The Akebono brake pads fitted without issues. Can't wait to see no dust on my wheels.
