Good kit, had spare parts but that is OK because I know where to hide them. No leaks after installing the new radiator along with the tranny line kit. Love the way these connect.

Great Stuff

Just what the doctor ordered. Acquired two sets for all four lines (oil and ATF) and what do you know? No leaks!

Works As Designed

I have made this repair on many Volvo's and none have ever leaked. For anyone having trouble, look closely at the retsiner...they are directional and must be installed correctly. One end of the retainer has a bit of a curved opening...this is the end that points toward the radiator. Now, using snap ring pliers, open the retainer only enough to slip the retainer over the hose fitting, with the curved opening facing away from the hose. Slip on the o-ring(s). Now insert the hose fitting into the radiator. Press very hard in a straight line until the retainer clicks into place on the radiator fitting. It will go on. You may need to rotate the hose a little. I always use a heavy duty zip tie to keep the retainer closed. Piece of cake.

Works are designed, perfectly. I have made this repair on numerous cars. To any posters having trouble with the retainers, they are directional and must be installed

Mr.

put these on when changing my radiator. The retainers click into place at two spots on each male hose end and at two spots on the trench cut into the metal female opening on the radiator. I got the retainer on the male ends fine, but I tried with all the force I could and could not get both sides of the retainers to click into place on the radiator female opening. I only could get one side. I considered removing and filing down to try and get it to fit, but removal puts stress on the ability of the retainer to grab onto both radiator and hose. So I (foolishly) acccepted the partial attachment and and called it good. All worked fine for about 2 weeks until my son punched the turbo accelerating up a hill and blew the upper hose off the radiator. This caused a big mess and several hours of headache on a busy street while I refilled the transmission with oil. so now I have reinforced with regular hose clamps and hope this lasts. If it doesn't then not sure what I'll do next...I think I tossed the original clamps. Now I with I had not bough these and just used the old retainer clips with hosed clamps to lock them in.
