Includes left and right tension struts, the Syncro Design Works spherical bushing is already pre-installed for easy installation, addresses one of the most common failure points on E82/E88 1-Series and E9X 3-Series vehicles

The Syncro Design Works monoball bushings compared to a traditional hydrobearing or solid rubber bushing offer a range of multi-axial movement, where OEM bushings only pivot on a single axis, similar to a gate hinge in motion. OEM bushings, even when new, allow more deflection than preferred for optimal performance and have a limited service life. Syncro Design Works rear trailing arm bearings are lubricated and sealed for maintenance free operation, which makes them the last tension strut bushings that your vehicle will ever need.

Suspension Control Arm Kit

Control arms are crucial link in a vehicle's suspension connecting the suspension to a vehicle's subframe. These pieces are usually hinged to allow for suspension to travel and articulate as the vehicle rides over obstructions in the road and while the vehicle turns. Many vehicles such as those with independent suspensions have multiple links and feature several connection points and arms to offer better ride quality and comfort.

As bushings and joints in a control arm begin to wear you may notice a looseness feel in your suspension. And while many arms have replaceable and serviceable individual components, many still require the replacement of the entire arm. Below are signs of when a replacement control arm may be needed.

Suspension Control Arm Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Play in suspension joints where these arms meet the subframe and/or knuckle
  • Buckling noise emanating from the suspension
  • Uneven tire wear
  • Inability to properly align vehicle
  • Shutter or vibration coming from the steering wheel at highway speed
  • Wandering or pulling sensation from side to side felt on the steering wheel

Great part! NVH increase
I picked these because all of the spherical bushings are sealed and the factory bushings were completely blown out. Massive massive improvement in steering feel and responsiveness. Definitely makes the front end feel very planted on braking vs darting left and right with the blown out bushings. Unfortunately you can’t have your cake and eat it too. ANY problems in the front end (unbalanced or bent wheels) you will feel everything in the steering wheel. And NVH has increased substantially (10-15%). So make sure your wheels and tires are dialed in as well as your suspension. Will be a great improvement

Can these be installed, using the standard BMW bolt (31106763928)? Are there any special considerations to prevent electrochemical corrosion on the bolt or monoball spacers? Does the bolt need to be torqued at ride height? What is the torque required for the ball joint nut? Thank you!

Are these essentially m3 tension struts fitted with monoballs? I'm curious if this is the same as installing m3 tension struts which will add approximately 0.75 degrees of camber to my RWD 335.

Tension struts do not change camber, tension struts would change caster angle if they were different lengths. However, the E9X M3 and E9X non-M cars use the same size/length tension strut. The only difference is the E9X M3 uses a forged aluminum part while the E9X non-M cars use a cast aluminum part. The wishbones (straight arms) are what increase track width and increase camber.
