Bolts to the front wheel spindle, attaches to tension strut

This ball joint bolts directly to the wheel spindle and then attaches to the tension strut. Worn ball joints can cause clicking noises as well as steering issues. Worn or loose ball joints are not only a problem for your BMW's steering performance but they are also an issue for tire wear. We recommend replacing this ball joint in matches pairs.

Suspension Ball Joint

If there is play in the front suspension between the control arm and wheel spindle your ball joint will need to be replaced. This joint is a critical connection point between the wheel spindle and the lower control arm.

Worth doing
Very hard to get the old ones out but worth it, ride is much better. New ones went in pretty easy after a few days in the freezer .

Lemforder 31126756491
After 35k miles the ball joints were in perfect condition. I replaced them (along with the broken bushings) with Meyle ball joints and compared them face to face. I think I downgraded. I'm already trying to replace them with Lemforder again, because they look much stronger.
