For Q5 Models, depending on the Front Brake PR Code, with require a Brake Pad Wear Sensor with (1) or (2) contacts. Please be sure to verify if your vehicle is equipped with one or the other before ordering. If your vehicle has (2) contacts, you will need to purchase EUR1663A.

Disc Brake Pad Set

Let's face it, brakes pads hands down are the most important components of our vehicle. Our brake pads allow us to stop our vehicles with a simple push of a brake pedal. Unfortunately they don't last forever and are considered to be a major wear item which must be replaced before they completely wear out and damage the brake rotor costing you more in repairs. Brake pads can be made of several materials such as a semi-metallic compound, ceramic compound, or organic. Brake pads are suggested to be checked frequently during oil changes or routine services for wear to ensure you have at least the minimum pad thickness as stated by the car manufacturer.

Stops good, squeals bad
Squeals no matter how you grease contact points or even if you install without grease. Tried everything. 19 Porsche Macan.

Great Pads
Very happy with the quality of these pads. The ceramic compound is much easier to clean off your wheels compared to semi-metallic pads. They also provide great stopping power for spirited driving.

2103 Audi Q5 needs 2 sensors
Got into this repair and realized the 2013 Audi Q5 Premium Plus 2.0T needed two sensors, not one. Had to run to the dealership and buy the right sensor. Pads fit fine.

Macan base model needs 2 sensors!
After several hours of struggling to put rotors and pads to find out that Macan needs 2 sensors! Q5 needs 1 sensor apparently. Also, the sensor line is too short for Macan! Now, I am scrambling to find 2 long enough sensor/lines to finish the job. FCP should be more accurate in descriptions. Delight the customer by making sure right parts are in the kit. I have no issues with Akebono pads (one of best pads period).

Porsche requires two sensors
The kit is for both Audi and Porsche, where audi has one sensor and Porsche requires two--be sure to buy another sensor with the "kit." FCP Euro, you should have a selector to allow people to automatically add another.

Difference between EUR1663 and EUR1663A
I have a 2015 Q5 TDI. It was manufactured 07/2014. My car has a single wear sensor point instead of the dual wear point in the EUR1663A. I used the EUR1663 and not the EUR1663A.

No dust
As expected from other reviews the dust is pretty much non existent. Despite the instruction saying no break in is needed I did find that the bite of the pads improved significantly after a spirited drive.

Exceptional
Currently have a 2016 Q5 3.0 with 82K with Factory Brembos. I have been thru 2 sets is Audi OEM pads and lastly 1 set of the Brembo pads from Brembo. These Akebono pads are best I have ever used. Low dust and exceptional stoping power. I don't mean a little better, considerably better! Normally you don't really notice a difference, in this case you will notice. Hope this helps someone as I'm not one to write reviews... T

Hi there, I have a 2021 VW Tiguan with Porsche Macan front calipers on 345mm Brembo rotors. Wondering if these will work and if they will be silent? My current set-up includes iSweep 1500 pads that squeal at cold temps/low speed. Looking for a ceramic set that are low dust/no noise.

Yes, if you are using the 345mm 4 piston calipers from brembo these pads would suite that application and provide good stopping power and low dust.
