Next, put the tip of your grease gun onto the grease fitting. This should almost snap into position. Put pressure on to the tip of your grease gun and pull the trigger with your other hand. Pump some grease into the ball joint and at the same time watch the rubber boot of the ball joint. If the ball joints are greased frequently, only a few pumps should lubricate them. If not, it may take some more pumping. Fill the ball joint with enough grease to spread out the rubber boot. If you notice grease purging through the rubber boot, this means there is enough grease in your Audi’s ball joint. You are now ready to do this same process to the other end of your Audi.
