Created back in 1971 by Hans Bierdumpfel, Karlyn Industries is a family owned business that got its start by being the first U.S. manufacturer of Volkswagen tie rod ends and ball joints. For over three decades, Karlyn Industries has worked as one of the only domestic manufacturers of Volkswagen suspension parts. In recent years, Karlyn Industries has branched out as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for brands such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Honda and Saab. Karlyn Industries is also responsible for a high performance line of spark plug ignition cable sets for various international markets. Viewed as a leading manufacturer of ignition cable sets, Karlyn Industries focuses its attention on both original equipment manufacturing and the creation of aftermarket parts, manufacturing under their Spark Transfer International (S.T.I.) brand name.
