About SONAX

Dating back to as early as 1905, SONAX's brand history started off when the great grandfather of the now owner had extracted siliceous earth which is an extremely fine mineral and was used in many polishes. Just after the war he developed a silver polish and started to market it under the name "Sona". While it was successful it had limited market opportunity so they pursued the idea of creating a car polish to go along with the silver polish. This warranted the name change as you see it today from "Sona" to "Sonax" as the "X" signifies wax which was found in all of their car polishes. Today Sonax is represented in over 80 countries worldwide and continues to specialize in a wide range of products with a responsibility to the environment.

Solid But Pricey
This stuff is great for averagely dirty wheels. AKA, you wash them periodically. It's damn expensive though. If you've neglected your wheels, them move up to SONAX Wheel Cleaner Plus. That stuff is insanely good and worth every penny. Most likely a highly concentrated version of this.

Worth It
Did wonders on all the baked brake dust. I say it removed 80% of it without scrubbing or agitating it. I wanted to test it out by simply spraying and letting it sit then washing it off. Very strong smell.

Looks the part, good results
A bit pricey for the amount of product. Does provide the satisfying visual confirmation that old brake dust is being chemically neutralized and removed from rim surface. Used on painted wheels, no issues observed with the finish after use.

one of the most effective wheel cleaner I have ever experienced, the change of coloring also is another good attribute to let you know that this stuff is working the dirt off your wheels.

I buy this by the barrel
I've used so many brands of wheels cleaner. Full effect is phenomenal. I pick it every time even have a 5 liter jug of it.
