Suspension Strut Mount Kit

The suspension shock mount is a component that secures the shock absorber to the vehicle's chassis or body. It helps connect the shock absorber to the vehicle while allowing for the necessary movement and cushioning of the suspension system. The shock mount is typically made of metal and rubber, providing both strength and flexibility to absorb vibrations and shocks from the road.

Suspension Strut Mount Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Clunking or Banging Noises: A worn or damaged shock mount can cause clunking, knocking, or banging noises, especially when driving over bumps, potholes, or rough roads. These sounds occur because the shock absorber is not properly secured to the vehicle, allowing it to move or rattle.
  • Increased Body Roll or Bouncing: A failing shock mount can prevent the shock absorber from doing its job correctly, leading to excessive body roll when cornering or increased bouncing when driving over bumps.

Everything came, great kit, Good Quality

Good kit, but not a great kit
I'm glad it includes most of the hardware, I just wish it had included the bump stops and dust boots, if you are replacing these items, you're likely going to need those as well. Much happier with my B5.5 wagons ride for sure and a good kit to get when replacing struts and shocks, id nearly say it's necessary considering the condition of the parts at 120k
