Product Information

NOTE:

  • Designed to be paired with FACTORY coil springs

Bilstein B6 Performance dampers are a performance upgrade to OE dampers designed to be paired with the OE factory spring. These dampers offer application specific valve settings with a monotube design to bring out the best handling performance of a vehicle. Each damper is rigorously tested for quality that meets or exceeds OE standards. B6 Performance dampers will provide improved safety and handling performance with the added benefit of world-famous Bilstein quality.

Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.

Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Assembly Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Bouncy ride: The most noticeable sign, where the car continues to bounce excessively after hitting a bump
  • Nose dive when braking: The front end of the car dips significantly when applying the brakes
  • Excessive body roll in corners: The car leans excessively when turning, feeling unstable
  • Uneven tire wear: Irregular wear patterns on the tires, often with cupping or scalloping due to inconsistent contact with the road

About Bilstein B6 Performance

Bilstein shocks and strut perform due to their larger piston area and quality manufacturing. Bilstein shocks eliminate dead spots, and deliver extremely responsive valving for superior performance and handling, including consistent, fade-free damping and shorter braking distance. Made only from the highest quality materials, Bilstein shocks reduced valve fatigue means they last much longer than standard stock replacement components. If you’re looking to enhance the performance of your suspension system, the Bilstein B6 Performance series is the best solution to improve your car’s ride. With unbelievable control, precise handling, and incredible comfort, you'll soon discover there is, quite literally, nothing like it. This class shock is considered by us at FCP as performance upgrade to a factory shock that is maintaining the stock ride height.

Returned to Stock Springs - This kit is performing above my expectations
I was riding on DG Springs with B4's for a year. Not the right match, I also did not enjoy the lower ride height on the vehicle. I decided to return to stock height with OE springs, and after some research, while trying to avoid my mistake of matching the DG springs with the B4's, I settled on this kit. Handling is tight, it's a touch stiff going over potholes, but generally very smooth, and can take a beating of the NYC streets, while giving me that tight control for on and off ramps. Would definitely recommend these for with OE springs, much sportier than the OE shocks and struts.
