Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.

Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Assembly Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Bouncy ride: The most noticeable sign, where the car continues to bounce excessively after hitting a bump
  • Nose dive when braking: The front end of the car dips significantly when applying the brakes
  • Excessive body roll in corners: The car leans excessively when turning, feeling unstable
  • Uneven tire wear: Irregular wear patterns on the tires, often with cupping or scalloping due to inconsistent contact with the road

Question Posted by clayton
how many MM are these ? I have a 1" lift on my MK4 TDI wagon and wondering if they will fit. the last struts I had were Bilstein (35-046370) and Bilstein (24-026239). Please advise ! thank you!
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Not sure what you mean by MM, the tube diameter is the same on these applications like they are on 35-046370 and 24-026239 and the length of the shafts wont change. I do have 87501002 in stock from Koni so I can pull these and measure something specifically for you if you like? Send us an email at service@fcpeuro.com with what you would like for us to compare for you and we can get back to you.
Question Posted by Nathan
What springs are required for this? Will the stock springs work?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
The STRT series compliments lowering springs and is perfect for OE replacement or vehicle improvement.
