VW Steering Damper - EMPI 113425021

Product Information

A steering damper is a component on a vehicle that helps control rapid steering movements by dampening sudden handlebar inputs, essentially stabilizing the front end, especially during rough terrain or high speeds; when a steering damper fails, you might experience increased vibrations, unusual steering noises like knocking or clunking, excessive handlebar movement, and difficulty maintaining a straight line, especially at higher speeds.

• Increased vibrations: Noticeable shaking or wobbling of the steering wheel, particularly on uneven surfaces or at high speeds
• Steering instability: Difficulty keeping the wheel straight, sudden sharp turns
• Unusual noises: Knocking, clunking, or grinding sounds coming from the steering area
