A hood and trunk prop rod is a vital component in keeping the hood or trunk of a vehicle propped open when performing maintenance or repairs. This type of prop rod typically consists of a long metal or plastic rod with a curved hook at one end and a flat stopper at the other. The curved hook is designed to securely latch onto a notch or hole on the underside of the hood or trunk, while the flat stopper rests against the edge of the engine bay or trunk to provide stability.
