Ferrea's Super Alloy exceeds typical Inconel alloy and is highly recommended for exhaust valves in turbocharged or boosted 2.5L 5 Cylinder engine builds. Super Alloy is the absolute highest level available in exhaust valve technology. Engineered to handle extreme heat requirements and punishment from turbocharged engines running high boost, nitro fuels, nitrous oxides, ethanol, and pump gas. Reversed forged for superior strength and durability, the Super Alloy can withstand exhaust gas temperatures exceeding 2400 degrees Fahrenheit onto the valve. Every valve is finished with a refined swirl and micro polish to eliminate surface imperfections. Ferrea's valves have been used in Top Fuel and Funny Car applications and can confirm the performance and reliability of Super Alloy Valves in the most demanding and volatile situations. Put that same level of reliability in your own 2.5L 20V engine build.

Engine Exhaust Valve

An engine exhaust valve is a component inside the cylinder head that controls the release of burned gases from the combustion chamber after the air-fuel mixture has been ignited. It works in tandem with the intake valve, which allows fresh air and fuel into the cylinder. Exhaust valves are typically made of heat-resistant steel to withstand high temperatures and pressure.

Engine Exhaust Valve Failure Symptoms
  • Poor Engine Performance / Power Loss: Incomplete exhaust evacuation reduces cylinder efficiency.
  • Engine Misfires: Burned, bent, or leaking valves can cause misfires or rough idle.
  • Excessive Smoke from Exhaust: White, blue, or black smoke may result from oil burning or improper combustion.
