Transmission Clutch Kit

Clutch kits are made up of two main components, the clutch friction disc and the clutch pressure plate. Both of these components transfer torque from the flywheel to the transmission. There are several different types of manual transmission clutches in terms of operation but they all perform the same basic function.

Clutches are a pure wear item. In some cases you may have the option to replace a pressure plate or clutch disc separately but its always best to replace both at the same time along with other component such as the rear main seal, pilot bearing, release bearing, and shifter parts.

Transmission Clutch Kit Failure Symptoms

No slipping grabs and goes no chatter zero

Have it installed for just about 1000 miles now. My car has about 54k miles and was slipping really bad when down shifting at higher rpms. It was very catchy for the first 500 miles or so. I stalled once the first day pulling out of my driveway. Foot peddle feels a lot tighter at first but not as much as stage 2. Engagement zone is easier to find vs stock. After 1000 miles peddle feel is not as stiff and manageable for daily driving and feels very sporty if you’re feeling froggy. I’m on a stage 1+ tune and it holds the power very well through the RPMs. The smell was very strong and stanky at first but it seems to have almost went away.
