The sensor works by monitoring the chemical reactions between nitrogen and oxygen during the combustion process.

Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) Sensor

A NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) sensor monitors the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in a vehicle's exhaust to help the engine control module (ECM) optimize combustion and emissions systems, including EGR and SCR/DEF operation on diesel vehicles. By providing real-time exhaust data, it helps reduce harmful emissions, maintain fuel efficiency, and ensure the vehicle meets emissions standards.
