VW HVAC Heater Hose - Burgaflex 1J0122073BG

Product Information

Your vehicle heater hoses circulate hot engine coolant from the cooling system on the engine through the vehicle heater core, which is located inside the car's dashboard. This coupled with a blower motor, allows for the air inside the cabin to be heated. While critical to the functionality of your climate control system, your heater hoses are also very important to your vehicle's cooling system. Proper maintenance and inspection of your engine's heater hoses will help sustain performance in your climate controls inside the cabin and engine reliability preventing overheating.

• Cracks: Visible cracks on the hose surface, often caused by age or exposure to extreme temperatures
• Leaks at connections: Leakage where the hose connects to other components due to worn or damaged clamps
• Softness or deterioration: The rubber material of the hose becomes soft and loses structural integrity over time
• Low coolant level: Regularly checking the coolant level can indicate a leak
• Coolant smell under the hood or in the cabin: A strong coolant odor when the hood is open or inside the vehicle after the heat has been running
• No heat from the heater: If the heater core isn't receiving enough heated coolant, no heat will be produced within the vehicle Visible coolant leaks: Leakage in the engine bay near the heater hose connections to the firewall

About Burgaflex

The company Burgaflex was established October 1st 1984 by Mr van Gastel and Mr. van Tilburg, who were working at the former American company Stratoflex Inc. in Roosendaal. This company manufactured hydraulic/ automotive/aerospace hoses and fittings for numerous applications. Burgaflex Holland today, is still in the exact same spot as where the company was originally founded, in Etten-Leur - Holland. Through the years Burgaflex developed their own production facilities for hydraulic and airconditioning fittings and tubing. More and more requirements from manufacturers of original equipment in the field of airconditioning hoses and hose assemblies lead to a further development of the product range of Burgaflex. The hose program expanded with oil, heater and airbrake hoses. In 2010 the general management took over the Burgaflex companies to lead the company into a further worldwide growth. Today, Burgaflex is a specialist in the manufacture of flexible hose equipment for both hydraulic and air conditioning systems, serving the commercial and automotive industries.
