VW HVAC Heater Core - Nissens 561819031C

The heater core is responsible for the heat transfer from the engine coolant to the interior cabin of your Volkswagen. A heater core has an inlet and an outlet through which the coolant flows through. Once the coolant flows through the heater core, the blower motor blows air across the unit and the heat is then transferred to the interior of the vehicle. The construction of a heater core is usually a metal or metal/plastic combination. One of the main reasons a heater core needs to be replaced is because it is leaking. Typically, you'll know it is leaking as you will likely smell the sweet smell of antifreeze and/or notice coolant leaking inside the cabin of the vehicle.

Common Failure Symptoms:

• Lack of heat emitting from your air vents
• Leaking coolant inside the passenger compartment
• Film left on the windshield when the vehicle sits
• Sweet smell within the passenger compartment

Nissens heaters are designed, manufactured, and tested to OE specifications. Nissen's heater manufacturing and quality processes include a number of life tests, examined and tested by means of vibration, pressure impulse, thermal expansion, corrosion, and bursting to eliminate the risk of leakage, insufficient heating performance, or oil residues. Nissens heaters are thoroughly finished in every detail, fitting smoothly into the mounting cassette on the HVAC module.
