Product Information

Part number 7P1941752A is a brand new, unused Genuine Audi/Volkswagen headlight.

Aside from an accident, there is little reason to change your headlights, although some owners experience cloudy headlights due to oxidation. In the case of oxidation, there are several products on the market that remove the oxidation similarly to removing oxidation from car paint. Additionally there are some who have successfully used toothpaste to remove headlight oxidation as well (yes, you read that right). If you need new headlights, you may want to consider changing them in pairs for even lighting performance.

Genuine VW Audi parts and acessories from FCP Euro will restore your vehicle to original factory specifications with no compromises. An Audi or VW is known as a highly engineered German automobile that deserves Genuine VW Audi replacement parts that are held to the strictest standards.

FCP Euro is an online retailer specializing in replacement parts for European cars including Volvo, BMW, Saab, Audi, VW and Mercedes Benz. Since 1986 FCP has been focused on servicing it’s customer, providing the highest quality replacement parts at affordable prices, and making sure that it’s catalog is accurate to ensure that their replacement parts fit and perform exactly as original equipment.

Headlight

Most US market cars after 1984 transitioned from sealed beam headlights to headlight assemblies. A headlight assembly generally consists of a headlight housing, lens, mounts, adjusting units, and a reflector. While some Halogen headlight assemblies may come with bulbs, most HID headlight assemblies do not include bulbs or other electrical units, making it important to check to see what is included before ordering. A good condition headlight assembly is important for both night time visibility as well as good vehicle aesthetics.

Headlight Failure Symptoms
  • Cracked, delaminating, or damaged lens: The headlight assembly is mounted at the most vulnerable spot on the car. If it becomes broken or damaged by road debris, it should be replaced.
  • Condensation: Moisture or condensation inside the headlight assembly indicates a failing seal or crack in the housing.
  • Headlight Alignment Issues: If the headlight assembly is damaged, misaligned, or loose, the headlights may not properly focus the light on the road, causing poor visibility.

About Genuine VW

The Volkswagen Group, also known as “VAG”, consists of Volkswagen, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, Ducati, MAN, Scania, SEAT, and Skoda. The original parts used by VW to build your car are available as replacement parts under the “Genuine VW” brand. Manufactured under the direction of VW, expect excellent quality and a premium price since these parts are available exclusively through the VW Dealership network.

You may not realize this, but the parts that make up your VW are not necessarily manufactured by VW. No cause for concern, as VW designs the part, hires a manufacturer, and ensures its quality to you. In fact, many of these manufacturers have been making parts for VW for decades. In our industry these manufacturers are called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and these are often brands you recognize, including Lemforder, ZF, Sachs, Bosch, Valeo, Zimmermann, Siemens VDO, Corteco, and more. Don’t be surprised to open that Genuine VW parts box and find an OEM branded part inside, simply with the addition of a VW logo.

Be sure to keep an eye out for OE tags on our product pages to quickly identify parts coming directly from OE manufacturers. That extra bit of insight could save you some serious money while shopping! Refer to our OE Academy for further information regarding the OE/OEM tags throughout the site.

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by Robert
Is this part plug and play, includes the bulb, ballast…everything?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This would just be the headlight assembly, would not include the ballast that would have to be purchased separately.
