A bumper impact absorber is a safety component located behind the bumper cover, usually made of foam, plastic, or composite materials. Its function is to absorb and distribute energy during low-speed collisions, protecting the bumper cover and reducing damage to the vehicle’s frame and other critical components.

  • Loose or misaligned bumper cover, if the absorber is cracked or deformed.
