Product Information

NOTE:

The water pump union included in this kit connects the water pump module assembly to the oil cooler. This union commonly leaks over time due to the seals becoming faulty with age and mileage. Also, It is very common for these seals to leak after installation if not installed and/or lubricated properly. Be sure to lubricate the seals on both ends of this union when installing with either coolant or a Synthetic Grease (Not petroleum based) to prevent leaks. Also, be mindful to remove old O-rings left behind from the original union and to clean all of the mating surfaces thoroughly before installation to prevent leaks.

The kit was designed as an overhaul for the Volkswagen GTI with the 2.0T EA888.3, CXCA/CXCB Engine Code, engine paired with a Manual transmission. The kit includes new hoses, a radiator, a water pump and thermostat assembly, an expansion tank, a coolant flange, fresh new engine coolant, and more. Over time, the rubber and plastic material that these components are comprised of can degrade due to the constant temperature change and can lead to coolant leaks. Whether your vehicle leaks or if you're looking for preventative maintenance, this kit includes commonly replaced components all in one bundle.

A cooling system service involves checking and replenishing the coolant fluid in a vehicle's engine cooling system, typically including inspecting hoses, belts, the radiator, water pump, and thermostat for leaks, damage, or wear, and replacing the coolant with fresh fluid if necessary; failure symptoms include a rising temperature gauge on the dashboard, visible coolant leaks, steam coming from under the hood, low coolant levels, and a sweet smell near the engine
