We're confident that this is the the most robust, most durable, and best performance transmission mount available for the MQB platform, period. Available in two different durometers to suit any driving style, with its indestructible billet aluminum brackets machined right here in-house!

STAGE 1 with its 70a durometer bushings are geared towards the spirited enthusiast who wants better control over motor movement without the sacrifice of excessive vibrations. This are the best choice for daily-driven vehicles and are recommended for majority of our customers.

Transmission Mount

A transmission mount is a crucial component in a vehicle that secures the transmission to the vehicle’s chassis. It typically consists of a metal frame with rubber or polyurethane insulation. Its main function is to hold the transmission in place, reduce vibrations, and prevent excessive movement during operation. The rubber or polyurethane part helps absorb vibrations and shocks from the engine and road, improving ride quality and protecting the transmission.

Transmission Mount Failure Symptoms
  • Clunking or Banging Noises: When the transmission mount is damaged, you may hear clunking or banging sounds during gear changes or when accelerating/decelerating.
  • Excessive Vibrations: One of the primary signs of a failing transmission mount is increased vibrations or rattling, especially when the vehicle is idling or during acceleration. As the mount loses its ability to absorb shocks, vibrations can be felt inside the cabin.
  • Engine Misalignment: As the transmission mount also plays a role in maintaining proper alignment between the engine and transmission, a broken mount can cause misalignment issues, especially in front wheel drive configurations.
