Product Information

EMISSIONS

This part is not an emissions-related part and therefore can be used on Emission Controlled Vehicles.

The COBB Cat-Back Exhaust System for the Mk7.5 GTI is a direct replacement for the factory exhaust. It comes with an adapter that tapers down to be used with the factory downpipe or can be used without the adapter and bolted directly to the COBB 3" downpipe. Engine resonance and turbo noises are amplified but still kept in check through the 18" resonator and 12" COBB stamped muffler. Aesthetics are improved from the rear of the vehicle with dual-walled 4" tips featuring the COBB logo.

WHY?

Ditch the power-robbing factory cat-back and utilize the COBB Cat-Back system that boasts 304 stainless steel construction, a COBB stamped muffler, and 4" dual-walled tips featuring the COBB logo. As a direct factory replacement with no tuning required, it's a simple way to improve the looks and sound of your Mk7.5 GTI!

FEATURES

  • 3" and dual 2.5" Piping
  • 304 Stainless Steel
  • Compatible with factory or COBB 3" downpipe
  • COBB Stamped Muffler
  • 18" Inline Resonator
Exhaust System Kit

An exhaust system kit is a complete set of components designed to route and treat engine exhaust gases before releasing them into the atmosphere. It typically includes pipes, mufflers, resonators, catalytic converters, clamps, and hangers. The system reduces harmful emissions, minimizes noise, and directs hot exhaust gases safely away from the engine and cabin. Aftermarket kits may also improve performance and efficiency by optimizing exhaust flow.

Exhaust System Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Loud or unusual noises such as rumbling or hissing from leaks or damaged parts.
  • Decreased engine performance or fuel efficiency due to restricted or leaking flow.
  • Strong exhaust odors inside or around the vehicle, indicating leaks or faulty sealing.
