Product Information

Do a complete service of the timing and related seals with this kit. It includes all necessary parts to replace the timing belt, tensioner, idler, as well as the related wear parts that are only accessible with the timing removed. That includes a new OE water pump, VVT seal, and cam seals. Special tools are required when replacing the VVT and cam seals, please see the recommended products at the bottom of this listing.

This kit contains Zerex® G48 coolant, which is OE formulated to Volvo coolant specifications. Color dye is dark blue, and can be mixed with all OE HOAT coolants regardless of color. You can read more about Zerex® coolant and your Volvo [HERE].

Use the following temperature table to determine how much dilution is correct for your application.

  • 50/50: Temperatures from -34F to 265F
  • 60/40: -62F to 270F
  • 70/30: for -84F to 267F

We recommend inspecting or replacing your VVT hub sprocket o-ring for applicable engines while doing a timing belt job - View Part

NOTE: Contains cam seals for dual VVT cam engines.

Timing Cover Engine Range

The sticker will be found on the side of your timing cover, 2nd line labeled as - "Serial #"

Great Quality
Everything looks to be OE quality or is OE. I haven't yet gotten these parts installed but happy so far. This kit did drop in price right after I bought it but Kevin was helpful in refunding me the difference to what I paid so that was awesome!

Works Great
This kit is perfect if you are doing everything. Seals fit well and all the parts install well and last. I have dual VVT so I didnt need the black covers. Also you may wish to leave functioning seals alone - I have original seals on my 04 V70 with 255k mi on it and the seals were good. The ones I replaced were hard as a rock and difficult to remove.

Good kit with the Aisin pump
Good choice, it has the Aisin pump, the only one I recommend. Other kits - even Contitech ones, come with either Hepu or Graf pumps - look up online on Bmw forums about problems with these pumps. Aisin is the safe bet. You don't need to replace the cam seals - only if they leak which is usually caused by badly clogged PCV system. Remember to ask online how to mark and to lock the cam hubs if you are replacing the seals, many people had problems placing these back correctly

Great kit, great value
Bought this kit as soon as I got my S60, all the parts are of a supreme quality, the fit was spot on. So far I'm about 9k miles into it after the replacement, everything seems very strong, no noises of any kind. I don't see a need of spending twice the money on the original Volvo parts, will get this kit again once the mileage rolls close to 100K

The box included everything I needed! Although I know the waterpump isn't genuine Volvo, the gasket seal was bent from being pressed on by the waterpump which was free to move in it's box.

Good kit. It includes all you need to do the timing belt/water pump job. The water pump gasket is paper, but if you're careful during installation it's not a problem. The tensioner is a little funky to get set, but after doing it once, it would be simple. You may want to check your serpentine belt, and possibly replace it while you're doing this job.

Great Kit!
This was my first project of this size. With a little youtube/google search education including the 850 tutorial by FCP, I used this kit to get my old worn belt off and a new belt and water pump on in just a weekend. I would like to have had an FCP video tutorial specifically for the 70 series, as there are a few key differences. For my V70, I would recommend a pneumatic impact gun for the big bolt on the harmonic balancer.
