If your ride feels a little bouncy or you can feel clunks in the suspension while it's going over bumps it is likely due to worn strut assemblies and shock absorbers. The purpose of the strut assembly is it acts as a central pivot point for the suspension while housing the coil spring. It also dampens the compression and rebound of the coil spring as the suspension moves up and down. When replacing suspension components it is highly recommended to replace them in pairs.

I like these struts, I also had them on my 2004 Audi A4 prior to putting them on my 2006 xc90..
Replaced possible original front struts with 145k miles on them; handling and comfort are both significantly improved. Ride is neither harsh nor soft. In my humble opinion these are ideal for a vehicle where comfort is primary but excellent handling is also desired.
Replaced some B6/HD Bilsteins that were too stiff with my HEICO springs. These are the goldilocks setup. Not to soft, not too firm. Just right. Very satisfied, good price and lifetime guarantee.
My original Volvo-Sachs struts were in sorry shape after 136,000 miles. These nice Bilstein Touring units tightened things right up! They corner nice and flat (did some nice curvy road work just yesterday) and ride firmly with enough plush enough to keep me happy. Good price, too.
I contemplated these for a while, hope this helps you make a decision.
These TC struts ride slightly/sibtly firmer than the stock Volvo/Sachs struts, but aren't the slightest bit harsh or objectionable. They have the typical Bilstein firm but controlled ride. For the same price as Sachs they're a great deal in my opinion. They match well with Nivomat shocks in the back.
I'm used to Bilstein HD (4600 series) in the 240/740 application, and have always been happy with the taut ride. I have not been able to try them in the XC90, and for the high price simply can't afford to "try". I would say these TC struts are as well damped, but not quite as firm as the HD series I'm used to.

This is not fully assembled and comes just as pictured in the photo. No spring or any other components are included.

Where can I buy the rubber isolators that were installed on the OEM struts? They are thin rubber isolators with locator 'nipples' that get pinched between the lower spring seat and the spring. These struts did not ship with the isolators.

Yes, you can use the nuts that came with the Bilstein struts as long as they're the same size as the original nuts.
