  • You may also be interested in 2 O-rings that are required for the installation; p/n 9183708
  • In order to prevent possible damage to adjacent wiring, fuel hoses, check valves, and to properly tighten the fuel pump lock ring, special tool 2493 is required. Without using the tool, you risk damaging your fuel system or creating evap leaks.
Fuel Pump Module Assembly

A fuel pump module assembly is a complete unit, typically located inside the fuel tank, that delivers pressurized fuel to the engine. Unlike a standalone fuel pump, the module will sometimes include:

  • Electric fuel pump – draws and pressurizes fuel.
  • Fuel filter/strainer – removes debris and contaminants.
  • Fuel pressure regulator – maintains consistent fuel pressure.
  • Fuel level sending unit – communicates fuel level to the gauge.

  • Supplies pressurized fuel to the injectors for combustion.
  • Maintains proper fuel pressure under different driving conditions.
  • Provides accurate fuel level readings to the dashboard gauge.

Still running strong.
No issues. Fits exactly like oem. 2 years later and still running strong every day. REMINDER replace fuel filter when you install new pump. Also vacuum both access panels before trying to turn locking rings. GET new o rings. You can improvise a tool by notching a 4" piece of pvc pipe to fit over rings. BUT regardless, I would highly recommend the tool to remove the rings. RARE is the vehicle that is over 8 years old and the rings can be removed without issue, you really need the tool. Great shipping, fast, in stock, fits without issue,....

Fuel Pump for my 2002 v70 xc
Was an easy fix if you allow yourself some time and not run out of daylight. lol. Parts got here fast and all intact. got the O-rings as well and tying the string onto the previous fuel pump cord is saving advice that I read here and online. Also vac the area on booth ports and the lock ring tool was amazing.

vroom juice pump
very good quality, direct perfect fit. getting the tube to the other side of the saddle tank is most easily done with a friend. if you have no friends then mechanics wire will do. definitely something you want to do on a near empty tank and make sure to order the O-rings they suggest.

Good value
My 2001 v70 T5 started to leak a huge amount of gas from the top of the fuel pump where it had a large crack. I bought this one and it went in fine, works well, and overall did the trick great. It does look a bit different from the original one, it has caramel color plastic top and a dummy plug on top, but it fits perfectly and the lowers are just like the original. Few tips on how it will go in to minimize the coarse language: Make sure there is no more than a 1/4 tank fuel left or you will be swimming in it. The tank is separated into 2 compartments. You will have to open the ring on the sending unit too, the pump is electrically connected to it. GET the damn lock ring tool, sometimes the rings are so stuck on there, you just have no chance making a quick home made tool. Mine was 4 pronged and worked like a charm for the pump ring but failed completely on the sending unit. Make sure you tie a rope/string to the old pump's pick up hose before you remove it completely from the tank: that will help you guide the new one back to the sending unit. You will need 2 new ring seals. Don't forget to disconnect the battery before you unplug the seats or you will get an SRS light...Enjoy!

Exact Replacement
This pump is an exact replacement for the original pump WITHOUT an electrical connector on the top of the pump. The pictures show what looks like an electrical connector on the top of the pump. Not to worry, it is blank. Bosch must use the same mold to manufacture multiple pumps.

The pump pictured has a rectangular socket molded onto the plastic top of the pump. However, the one on my car is without that socket. Chassis number and year/model of vehicle are correct. What should I do?

You can ignore the extra part molded into the plastic. Sometimes manufacturers consolidate injection molds for multiple applications/numbers, so while the pump might look a little different the fit and function will be good.
