Starla exhaust system
Pretty much useless in the Northeastern winter road salt. I get a maximum of 2 years out of these - usually 18 months before the rear muffler, and pipes rot through on either of my 2 early 90's Volvo 940's. Got sick of replacing them and went stainless. Best thing I ever did. Buy once, cry once, and you're not changing 2 systems every 3 years.

Everything you need for cat-back silence
Second time installing one of these kits. Last one lasted about 11 years, though I had to repair a break in the over axle pipe several times before. It's especially helpful that new hangers are included, as these are often in bad shape and sometimes difficult to find on their own. I recommend starting this project with a some rust-stopping paint as you'll likely find that the hooks under the car are fairly corroded. The pipes of the exhaust system are all mandrel bent and everything just fits. The sockets are also fairly generous, it just slides together, even over the rusty old cat pipe. I also like that it has an over-axle, instead of under-axle pipe that some aftermarket systems have. Maybe I am not understanding something about the HJS clamps included in the kit (the photo shows u-bolt clamps, but that's not what was included), but I could not get them to seal as well as typical u-bolt clamps. The slots in the joints of the pipes leaked enough that it wouldn't pass my states safety inspection, and I ended up just welding them. I read somewhere that it's supposed to seal up via oxidation, but that's not optimal. I was also a little disappointed that there was a significant clamp mark on the exhaust tip that looks odd, though doesn't effect the function of the car. It looks like it was carelessly cut.

Exhaust System
I am very happy with this part. The exhaust kit comes with 2 brackets for the muffler, one offset, and one perpendicular, for my 1990 Volvo 740 wagon, I used the offset brackets and all of the rest of the parts fit perfectly. Hardest part is taking off the old system.
