This contains the inner and outer boots for one side of the vehicle as well as the clamps and grease.
WARNING: Proposition 65 informationA CV joint boot serves to protect the axle joint and axle by keeping out dirt, water, and debris while preserving the grease that lubricates the joint. As a vital component of the drivetrain system, it enables the wheels to move in coordination with the vehicle’s suspension. Regular inspection of CV boots is essential, and they should be replaced before any signs of failure appear. Replacing a boot typically involves removing the old one, reapplying grease, and fitting a new boot, which will require tools for expanding the boot over the joint as well as clamping a special style clamp on both ends to prevent exposure. At the point of service, it is also recommended to expect the condition of the joint, if the joint is damaged, a full joint replacement may be necessary.
CV Joint Boot Kit Failure Symptoms- NVH: Clicking or popping sounds when turning or under load caused by binding in the joint during articulation
- Leakage: Grease splattered on or around the inward-facing side of a wheel and/or suspension components behind the spindle
- Drone: Humming or growling noises coming from a dry joint or a joint exposed to the elements

Everything about this kit is great with the exception of the large inner clamp. It's much thinner material, and not as wide as the OEM. My OEM clamp was a 102.5, the supplied clamp was a 97. They're also different lines of Oetiker clamp. The difference in clamp kept the inner boot from being properly secured to the housing. I'll be sourcing OEM clamps since these won't do the trick.
I replaced my boots but had trouble with this outer boot, The outer boot large side is extremely tight, I had to fight with it to get the clamp slid on. It's so tight I can't even clamp it. for the small side of the outer boot, this doesn't fit at all the boot has roughly a quarter inch of extra room and the clamp doesn't pull it in enough to shrink that gap. I've tried a hose clamp but it seemed to slide off right away, I will try it again, but might have to find another kit. the inner boot fits great and the clamps work like they should. Not sure why but my situation is the opposite of what others have had.
Great kit, everything fit with no issues. I will be buying another to do the other axle.

I had read the earlier reviews that mentioned clamp size so knew I needed to check the clamp sizes.
The oetiker clamps for the inner joint appear to be a multifit version (see the pictures) and on the largest settings are too big.
The small clamp needs to be on the middle two openings. It is quite tight and I had to set it to that size off the boot (but over the axle) and then slide it over the boot. The boot has a lip so you may need to use a pair of pliers or screwdriver to push it over the lip.
The large clamp needs to be set to the smallest size. I could do this whilst in position on the boot.
The oetiker clamps for the outer joint are single size so no issues. See the pictures and compare.
Otherwise the boots seem sturdy and time will tell.
Perfect fit and replacement for aging OEM boots. The outer boot is plastic as opposed to rubber, but GKN was/is the OEM supplier so I trust their quality.
For the inner boot, the larger hose clamp is a little to big, can be easily moved
Fits my V70 X/C just fine.

Were the ear clamp sizes updated to better fit the boots since people had issues with them? I'm looking into rebuilding an axle and want to know before I buy this kit.
