11 on diagram

Be aware that the diagram positioning is not entirely accurate, this is the center upper control arm.

Note: Powerflex has superseded this to a black bushing, due to negligible difference in NVH

This kit replaces the bushings in the main upper rear control arm on Volvo P3 models with stiffer polyurethane to resist deflection and improve tracking through corners. The races for these bushings must be pressed in to the control arm.

Stock rubber control arm bushings give a disconnected and mushy feel to the front suspension, especially when worn, as the bushing deflects more than it should. You get sloppy steering, vibrations, and poor handling which makes the car feel unstable. These urethane bushings are stiffer than stock rubber and will not deflect as much. This helps keep the alignment in check with less variation. The car feels more planted and confidence-inspiring.

Powerflex Street Purple and Yellow bushings are 10-30% stiffer than OEM rubber in most applications. Powerflex Racing Black bushings are approx. 80% stiffer than OEM and are denoted by BLK at the end of the part number. Both are designed to last the life of the vehicle. Powerflex products feature a proprietary design that does not need to be re-lubed once installed. Note: Powerflex has superseded some numbers so that the only available bushing is black. These are for applications where the bushings tested to not increase NVH and a softer version was not needed
