The brake pads in this kit are Ceramic. The main benefit of using a ceramic pad compound is that it produces less brake dust compared to a semi-metallic pad without sacrificing overall braking power. S60R Brembo Replacment Brake Kit
These were delivered quickly and were the right parts, great stopping power and resists fade rather well when I took it to the track. Also this kit does contain the small bolts that hold the rotors to the hubs, they replace the 10mm hex bolts by sending allen head button screws that will not snap off unlike the original ones thankfully. Make sure to use brake cleaner on these rotors because there is a lot of packing grease on them. Also as a note to anyone doing a brake job on an R make sure to get new pad guide pins and have a punch handy.

To remove the rear rotors when the internal parking brake pads won't release from the drum "Drop your purse, get a big ass hammer, and hit the holy sh*t out of it." Parts fit great, too

As a Canadian importing from the US and shipping I first thought after all taxes the difference in cost would be minimal. Well, I was wrong. The total cost including shipping and duty fees of around CDN $93 enddd up being just under CDN $870. Shipped to my door in 4 days. That is impressive considering the dealer cost here...

Absolute quality. The pads are genuine and are directional for noise suppression and wear characteristics, made in Germany. The rotors are a perfect fit with a beautiful coating/paint on them that will prevent corrosion. The paint colour on the venting and hat almost matches the R calipers making this look great behind the wheels Made in Italy as they should. If you are used to economy rotors, these will impress.

Aggressive stopping power!
Brembo rotors are a perfect fit for the R series, as the calipers themselves are also Brembo. Our old rotors were very worn, so these were a welcome upgrade. Volvo pads work best to prevent squeaking - something about the beveled edges.

Are these Brembo rotors coated or with the hub area rust?

The Brembo Rotors have a proprietary 'UV' enamel coating and will not rust on the hub area. You can see them by clicking on the individual parts.
