Replacing a boot typically involves removing the old one, reapplying grease, and fitting a new boot, which will require tools for expanding the boot over the joint as well as clamping a special style clamp on both ends to prevent exposure. At the point of service, it is also recommended to expect the condition of the joint, if the joint is damaged, a full joint replacement may be necessary.
